Effective January 1, 2018, Iowa’s Minimum Wage did not change; it remains at the Federal rate of $7.25 per hour. Every employer covered under the Act is required to pay each employee wages not less than this amount.

2015
On April 1, 2015, Iowa’s House of Representatives voted down a measure that would have increased the minimum wage to $8.00 per hour in late 2015 and $8.75 per hour in the summer of 2016.
