Maryland Labor Law Updates

2018
Effective July 1, 2018, Maryland’s minimum wage will change to $10.10 per hour. Every employer covered under the Act will be required to pay each employee wages not less than this amount. With the exception of Montgomery County and Prince George‚Äôs County, See your local government for these wage rates and postings.
2017
Effective July 1, 2017, Maryland’s minimum wage will change to $9.25 per hour. Every employer covered under the Act will be required to pay each employee wages not less than this amount.
Effective September 1, 2017, Maryland’s Unemployment Insurance Law was updated.
2016
Effective July 1, 2016, Maryland’s minimum wage changed to $8.75 per hour. Every employer covered under the Act are required to pay each employee wages not less than this amount.
Effective September 1, 2016 Maryland’s Equal Pay for Equal Work notice was updated.
Effective October 1, 2016 Maryland’s Minor Fact Sheet was updated.
