New York Labor Law Updates

2020
Effective January 1, 2020, New York’s Minimum Wage increased to $11.80 per hour and $8.30 for tipped employees with the exception of New York City, Long Island and Westchester County.
Effective January 1, 2020, New York City’s Minimum Wage increased to $15.00 per hour for employers with 10 or less employees and $15.00 per hour for employers with 11 or more employees.
Effective January 1, 2020, Long Island and Westchester County’s Minimum Wage increased to $13.00 per hour
2019
Effective January 1, 2019, New York’s Minimum Wage increased to $11.10 per hour with the exception of New York City, Long Island and Westchester County.
Effective January 1, 2019, New York City’s Minimum Wage increased to $13.50 per hour for employers with 10 or less employees and $15.00 per hour for employers with 11 or more employees.
Effective January 1, 2019, Long Island and Westchester County’s Minimum Wage increased to $12.00 per hour

Effective January 1, 2018, New York’s Minimum Wage increased to $10.40 per hour with the exception of New York City, Long Island and Westchester County.
Effective January 1, 2018, New York City’s Minimum Wage increased to $12.00 per hour for employers with 10 or less employees and $13.00 per hour for employers with 11 or more employees.
Effective January 1, 2018, Long Island and Westchester County’s Minimum Wage increased to $11.00 per hour
