Effective January 1, 2018, South Carolina’s Minimum Wage did not change; it remains at the federal level of $7.25 per hour. Every employer covered under the Act is required to pay each employee wages not less than this amount.

Effective January 1, 2016, South Carolina’s Minimum Wage did not change; it remains $7.25 per hour. Every employer covered under the Act is required to pay each employee wages not less than this amount.
Effective May 1, 2016 South Carolina released an updated poster for Safety and Health Protection on the Job, Employment Discrimination, Payment of Wages, Child Labor and Right-to-Work Laws, Workers’ Compensation and Unemployment Insurance.
